seven year itch?
nope!
this post is for pace, even though he won't read it. he thinks my blog is "ridiculous" to which i say, "yeah, thus the basis of its appeal!"
anyway, today is our 7 year "anniversary". i love him with all of my heart. he is my best friend, i tell him everything. even thought he only really wants to hear about 75% and really only needs to hear about 50%...what can i say? i'm a talker! i am so excited to start our new adventure together, no matter how big it may seem, we can handle it! for those who don't know what the adventure is...stay tuned. and no, it is not a wedding and no, it is not a baby.
love you pace! muah.
this photo was taken at pearl harbor last march

redneck woman!
somewhere deep inside this stylish fashionista my inner redneck has been found! from my love of country music and cowboy boots to big trucks and line dancing! for those who don't know, i can boot scoot with the best of them. my mom taught me when i was nine...and yes, i am serious.
my inner redneck was reintroduced by my second favorite show... "my big redneck wedding"!
it is virtually impossible for me to watch this show with out crying! filled with beer can canopy's, the local driving range as a backdrop for the "i do's" and my personal favorite, taxidermy decorations..."either shoot it, stuff it, or marry it!"
for those who are mildly curious, you will have to watch cmt, but i promise you'll get a good laugh!

hi bill!
i was able to have dinner tonight with MR. J.W. MARRIOTT himself! wow, what an awesome experience. for all of those who have not been slaving away at a marriott hotel (or call center...for all my peeps from slcrc/slcrg/slczz), trust me, this has easily been the best day SINCE my hotel opened in 2006!
the city center marriott hosted a lovely reception for our legendary guest of honor this evening. complete with about 30 different types of sushi (yes, cambria, 30 different types!) and many fabulously delicious desserts. mr. marriott is very kind, generous and sincere. quite small in stature, but what a huge man. he spoke so highly of his beloved wife, who has been by his side for 53 years and of his genuine appreciation for all of the associates who make his job possible. as he spoke i found myself absolutely star struck, jaw open, eyes wide and just in awe that i was experiencing this. when i shook hands with him, i felt so incredibly honored.
and for those who know that good old marriott philosophy...i have a voice recording on my phone of mr. marriott saying "take care of our associates and they will take care of our customers!" need i say more...
oh yes, i wish i had taken my copy of spirit to serve! can you imagine...an autographed copy!
